We explain how everything we do is driven by our commitment to do the right thing, even if it hurts. Our world is changing and we want to help organisations that deliver positive outcomes excel in this digital world.
We passionately believe in a fair society where digital technology, data, IOT and AI are harnessed to create a better, sustainable life for every citizen regardless of their circumstances. We believe it strongly enough to leave the security of our previous jobs to start our own company.
We help organisations that deliver positive outcomes for society succeed. We bring passionate, committed, consulting, insight and technology teams to help our clients reimagine, reshape and build new capabilities, to facilitate delivery of better services and improved outcomes.
Logan Tod & Co is a profit-with-a-purpose business staffed by passionate, experienced, creative, committed people who are driven to make the world a better place. It is a new kind of business that balances purpose with profit and is legally required to consider the impact of decisions on staff, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.
I am a strong advocate for a digitally enabled health and care system. More than a decade ago, I decided to commit my operational and crisis management expertise to serving the NHS and other public sector organisations that deliver health and care.
I had the honour of working with some of the most amazing people in these organisations, been through some harrowing health crisis including Trusts in Special Measures and an international NGO during the first Ebola outbreak. Somehow, I managed to gain more than I could ever bargain for.
Other experiences include supporting a GDE Trust develop a Digital Control Centre and a non-NHS public sector organisation develop a digital first operating model for their national primary healthcare service.
My deep understanding of how healthcare systems operate from the ground up has been learned both the hard way by being in the thick of it and also through the generous coaching of some inspiring people, many of whom continue to support me today.
I want to transform health and care delivery within our public sector for the better through the use of technology, data and operational insights. I know from working with our frontline, until their working lives and their patients' experiences improve, the job is not done. So, I will be rolling my sleeves up and getting stuck in till the job is done.
I use my skills and experience in developing and managing digital functions in health to drive efficiencies and capability for the organisations I work with. With over 20 years of experience in running analytics functions, 17 of those in the NHS, I have a strong commitment to maximising the use of data to make informed decisions.
Working as a CIO and COO in the NHS I have a wide and deep understanding of how to translate operational need into solutions, most recently as a digital consultant in Robotic Process Automation, Command & Control Centre operations and Process Mining in Acute Trusts.
As a senior leader I put people before technology, as they are the catalyst and enabler of digital and analytics solutions. I am a trained and active Executive Coach and in my spare time coach a number of people at junctures in their professional lives.
In Logan Tod, amongst wider responsibilities, I take a hands-on lead role for business and cultural change, to support and embed change initiatives. With both my parents being Nurses in the NHS, and latterly Social Workers, it was somewhat inevitable that I would devote my working life to supporting positive outcomes for others in society. This is the very same ethos that attracted me to work with colleagues at Logan Tod.
I work as a Non-executive Director, a Board advisor, coach and a consultant as required to support leaders in whatever way suits their particular circumstances, but always focused on achieving their goals.
I believe in using data for good, and using it to enable a fairer society where digital technology, analytics and AI are harnessed to create a better, sustainable, life for every citizen regardless of their circumstances.
Day to day I help the leaders of large and small organisations take advantage of data, analytics and AI by:
1. Explaining the art of possible and helping their organisations imagine a data driven future.
2. Creating and validating a strategy and a practical roadmap for data, analytics and AI
3. Defining the required data analytics products
4. Supporting the development of the essential data science capabilities
5. Coaching the executive team to lead the journey.
My deep area of data and analytics expertise is centred on all forms of customer, patient and citizen data including CRM, customer experience, behavioural, voice of customer, digital and marketing data.
My background is that of an analytics and data science entrepreneur; starting with joining a young mathematical software company as it launched in Europe, then creating one of the first digital advertising agencies in the UK and followed by founding the UK’s leading digital analytics company which after a decade I sold to PwC. More recently I have been part of the leadership team reviving the fortunes of an AIM quoted Plc.
I am a Health Economist with 15+ years’ experience in the health sector. The multifaceted health and care challenges due to socio-demographic and morbidity changes faced by governments around the world have increased rapidly. I know that pragmatic evidence-based solutions are extremely effective ways to identify and tackle health challenges at population and subpopulation level.
My strong academic and technical expertise has given me the opportunity to lead Population Health Planning innovations and applied analytics transformation projects across the NHS.
Unfortunately, I have seen many good innovations in the NHS fail. This is why I believe that building in-depth knowledge of patient flows across healthcare systems is the key to operationalise sustainable change and generate economic benefit at the population level.
Over the years, I have led successful projects within the NHS to improve population health using advanced modelling techniques with NHS linked datasets to create relevant insights to design or improve services. Most recently, I have been supporting the MedTech sector to conduct economic analysis of artificial intelligence innovations in health.
I now work with Logan Tod & Co team because they have successfully applied anon-health industry analytics technique in patient and population flows. The insights they generate add tremendous value to population health planning. I have witnessed first-hand how their clean approach tailored to NHS users irons out complexity providing pragmatic solutions and economic value. Together, I know we will continue to solve health and care challenges.
I have over 10 years of experience in providing valuable insights to healthcare and life sciences industries. I work on projects that utilises impactful and actionable insights to deliver business transformation. As a mathematician, I see the power of data to change lives and I want young people who have limited exposure to STEM subjects and careers to have the opportunities to change their own lives and improve others.
Over the years, I have been very privileged to be recognised for the work that I do professionally and the passion projects I undertake to transform lives. I have also come across many women in technical and leadership positions inspiring a new generation of young people into the profession.
A chance introduction to the Logan Tod & Co team while I was working with the NHS gave me the opportunity to work more closely with them as part of the healthcare analytics community. I realised they share the same pragmatic and practical approach to delivering insights in health. They are also equally passionate about changing lives.
Together, we hope to inspire young people into the analytics profession and bring about positive impact to society with impactful data insights.
I am an analytical thinker who has spent my career helping the NHS solve operational challenges. I have supported some of the largest Acute NHS Trusts, including Barts & London, Great Western & Bradford Teaching Hospitals to utilise their data to improve healthcare delivery and performance.
Over the years, I have also developed solutions for HSCIC, NHS Digital & NHS England to meet their specific needs. I have led technical and business intelligence teams in the public sector and gained in-depth knowledge of secondary care clinical systems, healthcare data warehouses and an extensive operational knowledge of patient flow within hospital settings.
The NHS can struggle to extract value out of technology and data insights. It is important to me that I can support the NHS translate strategic business requirements into practical solutions that are delivered on time, within budget and most importantly delivers value to staff and patients. Currently, I am applying my knowledge in secondary care dataflow and extensive expertise in data migration to develop data visualisation tools.
Trusts I work with become empowered to maximise the value of data available to them. We co-build tools that are specific to their operational needs using data that Trusts had but were unable to access or utilise. Operational teams involved in co-design are able to create data and insights that will help them take action for improvements.
I am very excited to be part of the Logan Tod & Co team who have enabled the NHS to adopt a new analytical technique to achieve never before seen patient flow insights. Our goal would be to ensure we continue to innovate, in particular with the opportunity to create value from artificial intelligence capabilities, to help the NHS improve with data and insights.
